From March 29–31, 2024, I had the pleasure of participating as a speaker at the Panopreneur Summit 2024, an international online event bringing together professionals in 360° photography, virtual tours, virtual reality, and immersive technologies.
Organised by Kush Patel, the summit featured more than ten industry experts sharing their knowledge, professional experiences, and perspectives on the development of 360° imaging and immersive media.
I was invited to present “Beyond Boundaries: Creating Immersive & Interactive Worlds with 360° VR Content,” sharing insights from my professional journey in immersive production since 2009.

From Panoramic Photography to 360 Video Production and Virtual Reality
Since I began working with panoramic photography in 2009, immersive technologies have undergone remarkable changes.
The development of high-resolution 360° cameras, multi-camera capture systems, professional VR production workflows, and standalone VR headsets has transformed how immersive experiences are created, produced, and shared.
Today, 360 video production and virtual reality provide opportunities for filmmakers, creative agencies, cultural institutions, tourism organisations, industrial companies, and training professionals.
However, producing compelling immersive VR content involves much more than recording a scene in every direction.
Camera placement, lighting, spatial composition, sound, viewer positioning, and post-production all influence the audience’s sense of presence.
Unlike conventional filmmaking, where the director controls the frame, viewers in a 360° experience can freely explore their surroundings.
This changes how we approach visual storytelling, directing attention and building emotional connections.
The challenge is to create an environment in which technology supports the story rather than distracting from it.
The Technical and Creative Challenges of Immersive Filmmaking
Creating a professional 360° video or virtual reality experience requires a combination of artistic vision, technical knowledge, and careful planning.
Some of the most important considerations include:
- 360° camera systems and capture techniques: Selecting the appropriate cameras, lenses, resolutions, and configurations for each production.
- Camera positioning and viewer perspective: Placing the audience at the right point within the scene to create a believable sense of presence.
- Lighting and scene direction: Adapting traditional filmmaking techniques to an environment where the entire space may be visible.
- VR stitching and post-production: Combining footage from multiple lenses, correcting visual inconsistencies, and producing seamless immersive imagery.
- Immersive storytelling: Guiding the viewer’s attention through movement, sound, action, and spatial composition without relying on a fixed frame.
- Content optimisation and distribution: Preparing immersive experiences for VR headsets, 360° video platforms, interactive applications, and installation-based experiences.
Every creative and technical decision contributes to the final experience.
The goal is not simply to demonstrate what immersive technologies can achieve, but to use them to create meaningful stories and engaging experiences.
Over 15 Years of Experience in 360° Video and Immersive Production
Working professionally in panoramic imaging and immersive media since 2009, I have developed extensive experience in 360° video production, cinematic virtual reality, interactive virtual tours, and high-resolution panoramic photography.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with international brands, production companies, cultural institutions, museums, and creative agencies on a wide range of immersive projects.
Through Visual Solutions 360, I provide technical and creative expertise across different stages of production, from initial project development and technical consulting to on-location filming, VR stitching, post-production, and content delivery.

Panopreneur Summit 2024: Bringing Together the International 360° Community
The Panopreneur Summit 2024, held online from March 29–31, brought together professionals working in panoramic photography, 360° virtual tours, immersive media, and related creative businesses.
The event was particularly relevant to 360° photographers, virtual tour creators, Google Street View professionals, and entrepreneurs working in the growing immersive imaging sector.
Across three days, more than ten invited speakers explored subjects including:
- Panoramic photography and professional 360° imaging.
- Interactive virtual tours and their applications.
- Virtual reality and immersive content production.
- Business development for 360° photography professionals.
- Marketing and client acquisition strategies.
- Technological developments and new opportunities in immersive media.
