What if, for a day, an entrepreneur and an elected official swapped roles?
I was truly honored to be one of the finalists of the “Créatrices d’Avenir” competition, having been selected in the “Gender Diversity in Professions” category for the 2023 edition.
My pride was even greater when “Dirigeantes Actives 77” selected me to participate in the Hôte Fonction initiative—an exceptional opportunity for exchange and immersion alongside a local elected official from Seine-et-Marne for a day.
Imagine a business leader diving into the inner workings of local politics, while an elected official experiences the daily life of a business owner. This is the essence of Hôte Fonction, an initiative led by Dirigeantes Actives 77. An immersive experience that breaks down barriers, fosters mutual understanding, and opens the door to new collaborations between economic and political actors.
Dirigeantes Actives 77: A Committed Network
The association Dirigeantes Actives 77 brings together female business leaders from Seine-et-Marne with a clear goal:
- Encouraging exchange and sharing experiences.
- Networking and professional collaboration.
- Promoting mutual immersion between public and private decision-makers.
Through Hôte Fonction, this association facilitates hands-on exchanges, allowing entrepreneurs and elected officials to gain deeper insights into each other’s realities.
Hôte Fonction: A Unique Experience
The concept is simple: allow a business leader to step into the shoes of an elected official for a day, and vice versa.
Too often, interactions between officials and entrepreneurs are limited to formal or even confrontational meetings. Yet, these two worlds have everything to gain by better understanding each other.
Objectives of the Initiative:

My Immersion with an Elected Official from Seine-et-Marne
I had the opportunity to accompany Madame Véronique Veau, Vice President of the Department in charge of Culture and Heritage.
An Intense Day Ahead:

This full immersion in the political world helped me realize the complexity and commitment required for this role.
